How do you tell the difference between yellow meated and red-meated watermelons?

Question: I'm curious to know how one could tell by appearance alone the difference between a yellow-meated watermelon and a red-meated one. That is to say I don't mean store bought watermelons. I live in a rural area and many people grow them. Is there any indication in the pattern on the rind to what kind of meat the watermelon has?
