Question: if any savings bank account without any transactions for 6 months or 1 year then what will be the status of that account. i mean will it be automatically cancelled? or any fine will be imposed on account holder????
Answer: nothing will happen to ur account in such a short period. if there are no transaction for more than two years the account will be considered as dead . secondaly if your balance is less than rs 1000/- and u have taken a cheque book bank can impose charges also. but in case the amount is very low and u have not taken a cheque book , forget about the account. If the account is in your city i would request u to close it.in case the same is not required by u
