ways to collect aluminum/ aluminum cans?

Question: I looking for ways to collect aluminum/ aluminum cans. Not only does it do the environment a favor, it helps me as an alternative way to make money. Does anyone know good LEGAL ways to collect aluminum cans? (when i say legal, i dont want to tell someone the aluminum is going to a childrens fund when it is really going into my bak account.)
