Carmel Indiana?

Question: My fiance' and I are getting engagement pic. done and need a place to do them. The photographer said to pick whereever we wanted. Anyone from around Carmel Indiana have any suggestions on where to do it near there?

Answer: Downtown carmel has a lot of pretty areas. The gazebo and fountain outside the city hall building is quite nice. I often see wedding parties doing pictures there after weddings. You could also try the new Central Park off 116th street, though I've not been there yet and can't say how good it looks. I'd also suggest the Village of West Clay area off 131st and Towne Rd., which is this beautiful old-time looking neighborhood, very picturesque. There are also good areas in Indy if you're willing to take a drive. For our engagement pictures, our photographer suggested Butler University. There are some really nice shaded gardens around the clock tower and behind Clowes hall. Or you could go downtown to white river gardens. Don't go to the art museum though, as they fine anyone who takes professional photos without a permit, and the permit is too much.
